London - For the second consecutive year, Saatchi & Saatchi has tapped into its global pool of talented creatives, and invited musically gifted employees in the Network to contribute songs and artwork to a holiday album titled ‘Works of Love'. This year you can explore the sounds and images on Pinterest, or download the album and listen at your leisure.
Covering a range of musical genres from electronica to folk to heavy metal, the mix tape is truly global with recordings from talented Saatchi & Saatchi employees from as far afield as Malaysia (Justin Wong), New York (John Wolff and Mrs. Robinson), Japan (harenichi & hachiru), Moscow (MOT!V), Latvia (Audience Killers), Los Angeles (Conill Mob), Ecuador (Julio & Leandro), UK (House of the Peerless and Made of Marks), Poland (Sambor), Germany (The Rollin Racketeers), Los Angeles (So Social), and a transatlantic duo from London/ New York (Charlotte & Hudson).
Saatchi & Saatchi clients will receive a holiday message in their inbox, inviting them to explore the Works of Love album on Pinterest, download the album in a zip file, or listen to the tracks on SoundCloud.
Tom Eslinger, Digital Creative Director Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide commented:
"In 2011 Saatchi & Saatchi gave our clients and friends a musical gift of more than 20 original songs, written and performed by our staff from around the network. This resulted in 1000's of downloads and shares, and a great response from people discovering the 'hidden talents' that our folks have aside from making great ideas. This year we wanted to keep the basic idea of Saatchi & Saatchi folks creating original music, and expanded the brief to include creating original artwork for the 'album cover' on this year's 'Works of Love' theme - with the theme, name and artwork developed by our Miami Ad School interns in NYC. To get this crafted, original stuff out into the world, we're using SoundCloud and Pinterest to make sharing and enjoying as easy as possible, in two of the best social spaces to share visual and musical ideas."
