Riyadh - Seeking to build stronger relationships in the GCC's biggest market, Saatchi & Saatchi MENA CEO Adil Khan has mapped out a new vision for its Saudi network placing its Riyadh and Jeddah offices under one management.
"The move signals Saatchi & Saatchi's commitment to grow its Saudi presence," Adil Khan remarked, "opening new opportunities to share servicing, planning and creative resources across both offices." He also revealed that it is part of ongoing efforts to create a more integrated regional network that can better serve the growing needs of existing clients as well as new business.
As part of the move, Adil Khan announced the appointment of Mazen Mehio as Managing Director for Saatchi & Saatchi Saudi Arabia to oversee both its Riyadh and Jeddah offices.
Mazen Mehio is a 20-year industry veteran who is coming home to familiar territory. He started his career in Saudi Arabia in 1990 with Publigraphics, spending 7 years in the Kingdom handling Lipton, Shell, Ericsson and Saudi British Bank (SABB). "With Saatchi & Saatchi's new focus on Saudi Arabia," said Mehio, "it's definitely an exciting time to be back here and I look forward to the opportunity to help transform our clients' businesses in the Kingdom with the support of our regional and global network."
Mehio also spent 7 years in Dubai, setting up the first regional office of Euro RSCG and later heading McCann/FP7's regional team on Orbit TV. He started a brand consultancy business in Beirut but was soon tapped by Etisalat/Canar as head of marketing for Eastern Africa and Sudan, until October this year when he was appointed to head Saatchi & Saatchi's Saudi network.
Saatchi & Saatchi's Riyadh and Jeddah offices are part of the Lovemark Company's MENA regional network with a regional office in Dubai. Saatchi & Saatchi has 140 offices in 80 countries with a client list which includes some of the world's biggest global advertisers including Procter & Gamble, Toyota/Lexus and Novartis.
