Saatchi & Saatchi Norway Cruises With Royal Caribbean

Oslo - After a thorough agency review, RCCL Nordic (RCL Ltd) has changed its agency affiliation in favour of Saatchi & Saatchi Norway.  The Oslo-based operation will liaise with the other Saatchi & Saatchi offices in the region to provide full Nordic market coverage.

"We are very excited to start working with Saatchi & Saatchi. During this process they have convinced us that they are the perfect agency for us right now. We have large ambitions both for Norway and the other Nordic countries. Saatchi's combination of good local agencies and a strong network is exactly what we have been looking for," says Head of Marketing in the Nordics, Ellen Stebekk.

"This is really fun and exciting," says Saatchi & Saatchi CEO, Jon Fredrik Sandengen. "In just a few short weeks we have all become cruise ambassadors, and we've already fallen in love with RCCL and the people who work there. Helping to develop RCCL and the market in the future is a dream task. In Oslo we are very proud to be chosen as their lead agency for the Nordics."

Four markets and three brands

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. is the world's second largest cruise company. They operate a total of 41 ships worldwide, and have one more under construction. RCCL sell and market three cruise brands in the Nordic countries: Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises.  RCCL is the market leader in the Nordics, with a market share of 45%, and Norway is their strongest market.

"Cruising as a way of vacationing is growing quickly, but there's still a lot of unrealized potential in the Nordic markets. From now on we want to do more regional and local campaigns, and that's why we need a strong strategic and creative lead agency with a strong network, and we have found that in Saatchi & Saatchi Norway," says Ellen Stebekk.

Strong network, Lovemarks and a digital agency

With this, Saatchi & Saatchi has won yet another new Nordic client, which brings them another step closer to their goal of becoming the strongest international network agency in Norway.

"RCCL are dependent on having a strategic and creative agency with digital knowledge in every level, and a Nordic network that works well together. In addition to that, RCCL have brand focus that is very close to our Lovemarks philosophy. I'm extremely happy that we can fulfil the need of such a large and exciting business," says CEO Jon Fredrik Sandengen.
