Mexico City - Andrea Diquez, the recently established CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Mexico, has announced two new appointments, as part of the agency's restructuring program: a new VP Creative Director and a Regional Director for Mead Johnson Latin America.
Luis Elizalde has joined the agency as Creative Director, having already garnered a vast array of national and international awards in his 15 years in the advertising industry. He has worked at a number of leading agencies on major clients such as P&G, IBM, Kraft General Foods, Bayer, Hasbro, General Motors, Henkel, Unilever, Coca Cola, Mattel and Danone.
Elizalde is excited by the opportunity: "Saatchi & Saatchi is a great brand that deserves to become a great agency in this country," he said.
Andrea Diquez commented, "In the first 5 minutes, I knew he was the one for this position. I'm sure that his energy and unstoppable passion for great ideas will bring back the magic to Saatchi & Saatchi Mexico."
Additionally Maruca Ortiz becomes the new Regional Director on the Mead Johnson account. "I'm thrilled at being part of Mead Johnson Latin America's team and embracing the new challenges facing Saatchi & Saatchi Mexico," she said.
Gaby Gonzalez, Saatchi & Saatchi Mexico's VP Group Director, who has known Ortiz for over 10 years, added, "Maruca is here to strengthen and inspire our account teams and will be an important catalyst to the continued growth of the brands and businesses of our existing and potential clients."
Maruca has a strong background in the Mexican and Latin American advertising, communications and public relations areas, working mainly with Regional clients such as Clorox, Compaq, Gatorade and Eveready. She has also been involved in developing well-known brands like Bonafont, Henkel Detergents, The Home Depot, Editorial Televisa, Starwood Hotels, Hasbro, Canadian Tourism Board, Bancomer and Pepsico, among others.
