Beijing - Last week, Ng Tian It formally assumed the role of executive creative director of the Saatchi & Saatchi Beijing Office, adding yet another leading creative talent to Saatchi & Saatchi, after Fan Ng and Carol Lam.
"If I were to name a lovemark, the Saatchi & Saatchi brand would definitely stake a strong claim," said Ng Tian It. "For some strange reason, this is one agency that still holds a lot of romance and mystique to the purists. It operates as if the business is still the most exciting to be in and better still, its ethos never seems to waver geographically. Having worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore before, albeit 12 years ago, and now having met the passionate folks at the China setup, it simply reaffirmed my gut feeling and why I've plumped for it beyond reason."
This well-known creative leader started his advertising career with JWT in Singapore. He has worked with advertising luminaries such as Batey Singapore, Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Leo Burnett, and has provided services to many world famous brands such as McDonalds, Unilever, Toyota and Panasonic. He once steered McCann Erickson and Batey to a miraculous recovery from difficulty, achieving a successful turnaround, and he was highly praised throughout the sector for his performance.
In 2007 Ng Tian It came to China to join Lowe China as executive creative director, and later became the executive creative director of the BBDO Beijing branch. Returning to Saatchi & Saatchi, Ng Tian It will lead the Beijing creative team, looking after domestic and foreign clients such as Lenovo, IKEA and COFCO.
Michael Lee, COO of Saatchi & Saatchi Greater China is overjoyed at the appointment of Ng Tian It, saying, "Ng Tian It is a rare creative leader, who not only has outstanding creative talent but also insight and far-sight. The most fortuitous thing is that he understands Saatchi & Saatchi, loves Saatchi & Saatchi and will integrate well into Saatchi & Saatchi here in China. I believe his input will greatly elevate the integral creative capacity of the Beijing office and our goal is to build that office into a hot creative shop in northern China."
Ng Tian It is also a frequent panelist on several well-known domestic and foreign advertising awards juries. He has participated in Cannes, the Clio Awards, New York Festivals, London International Awards, AdFest and LongXi Awards, and has himself won many domestic and foreign awards for creativity.
