London - Following a year of creative highlights, Saatchi & Saatchi EMEA is rounding off 2009 with a host of awards at the European festivals.
Eurobest proved a successful hunting ground with Saatchi & Saatchi collecting 14 awards – 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze – with the bulk of these for network clients T-Mobile and Novartis.
Leading the way was Saatchi & Saatchi UK, with ‘Dance’ for T-Mobile (pictured) winning 6 awards. The most awarded UK agency, it took Gold in Integrated and TV, Gold and Silver in Craft, Silver in Media and Bronze in Direct.
The good work continued for T-Mobile, with MUW Saatchi & Saatchi Slovakia adding a Media Gold and Silver for its ‘Messages’ campaign, and T-Mobile hub in Austria winning a Gold in Media for ‘Rain of Flowers’ shared with Saatchi Frankfurt.
Saatchi & Saatchi Switzerland was the Network’s other big winner, with three awarded campaigns for Novartis – Silver and Bronze in Outdoor for Fenistil and Voltaren (shared with Saatchi & Saatchi Netherlands) respectively, as well as Bronze for the Otrivin radio campaign.
BBR Saatchi & Saatchi Israel won a Radio Bronze for its 3-second Tefal ad, while Centrade Saatchi & Saatchi Romania took Bronze in Craft for its ‘Girls Night Out’ film for online women’s community site, www.121.ro
At the Epicas T-Mobile Dance won the Epica D’Or (Film) as well as two Golds (Film and Technique categories). EMEA agencies took an additional 9 Silver and 2 Bronze Epicas.
The London International Awards saw Saatchi & Saatchi Rome win Silver in Digital with ‘Contemporary Beer’ for Zoogami, also a Cannes Lions winner earlier this year. EMEA also took 3 Bronzes at the awards - for Frankfurt’s ‘Puppy Pulling Power’ and ‘Light The Dark’ (both in Digital) and for France’s ‘The Test’ (TV). Italy and Germany also both had finalists.
At the Cresta International Awards, there was success for MUW Saatchi & Saatchi whose ‘Messages’ campaign for T-Mobile picked up the winning Integrated award, and for Saatchi & Saatchi Frankfurt/Centrade Saatchi & Saatchi which collected winners’ accolades for their shared Sony Ericsson ‘Sound Proof City’ campaign, in both Magazine and Outdoor Press categories. There were also finalists for the Austrian T-Mobile hub, and for Saatchi & Saatchi Frankfurt.
And just recently, MUW Saatchi & Saatchi scored yet again with a Grand Prix (Media) plus two Cristals (Media and Integrated) at Meribel, for its T-Mobile ‘Messages’ campaign. Saatchi & Saatchi UK also picked up a Cristal (Production) for T-Mobile ‘Dance’, while in Portorož, Saatchi & Saatchi Slovenia also collected Gold, for Toyota, at Sempl, their local media trends festival.
