Johannesburg - Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa won two golds at the prestigious Loerie awards on Friday, one for its ‘Fetch Campaign’ for Eukanuba under the experiential category for alternative media and field marketing, and one for its ‘Makita Wall’ outdoor campaign, under the ambient media category.
With these wins Saatchi & Saatchi now ranks 6th in the agency group ratings and 8th in the individual agency ratings, under the new Creative Circle Loeries ranking system, which is based on the number of statues won.
“We set clear goals to win this year and are delighted with our gold birds, which are for campaigns outside of the traditional media arena,” says Saatchi & Saatchi CEO, Gail Curtis. “Our intention is to be a creative force in SA, aligning ourselves with the creative reputation of Saatchi & Saatchi globally.”
Saatchi & Saatchi’s outdoor campaign for Mikita demonstrated the high-precision of Makita drills, with an impactful visual project that involved drilling over 20,000 holes into a wall to create a huge black and white image of a Makita drill.
The Eukanuba Fetch Campaign demonstrated that Eukanuba dogs are not only healthier and shinier, they are also smarter.
