New Delhi - As part of Springwel's ‘Sleep Exchange' initiative, where customers' unwanted mattresses are donated to homeless shelters across India, Saatchi & Saatchi India launched a country-wide photography contest.
At the heart of the Springwel campaign was a desire to highlight the day to day struggles of the homeless, so what better place to exhibit the shortlisted photographs than on the street in New Delhi.
A shortlist of 25 photographs of lives of the homeless was selected from 362 entries, by a judging panel including high profile Indian photographers Dinesh Khanna and Atul Loke. The shortlisted photos will be exhibited in New Delhi by the outdoor market on Saturday, 22 September, and will be for sale at the one-day exhibition and also online.
