Madrid - Following the introduction of Pablo Del Campo and his new creative leadership team last year, Saatchi & Saatchi is continuing its transformation in Spain with the appointment of Francisco Rodriguez Cervantes (known as Paco), to the newly created role of Managing Director.
Paco joins Saatchi & Saatchi from The Coca-Cola Company where for four years he has headed up the digital marketing, including social media across the Coca-Cola, Fanta, Nestea, Powerade and Limon & Nada brand portfolio.
In this role Paco worked closely with Angel Torres and Lucas Paulino, the prolific creative team appointed by Del Campo last year, and developed a strong relationship with the pair.
Prior to Coca-Cola Paco worked in the agency world, allowing him to bring a dual perspective to the new role. As well as strengthening the management support around Del Campo, Paco's particular expertise will also boost the agency's digital capabilities.
Pablo Del Campo said: "Our industry is more dynamic than ever. Paco's background not only brings us a client's perspective to the business, but also a deep understanding of digital and relationship marketing which is key to building our capabilities and establishing conversations with the consumer. Paco's role will be instrumental in the ongoing reinvention of the agency."
Robert Senior, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi EMEA said: "Paco's experience, energy and spirit make him a great addition to our transformation team in Spain. He is the perfect person to help us drive the agency forward and continue the momentum generated since Pablo's arrival."
Paco said on his appointment: "This is probably the most exciting agency project in Spain these days. It's a unique opportunity to add my digital and client side skills to the outstanding talent coming from Del Campo Argentina, the energy of Angel and Lucas and the support of the Saatchi & Saatchi Network. All together we have the opportunity to drive the change that creative agencies landscape needs in Spain and across Europe, helping our existing and new clients to develop their brands and business through creativity that truly connects with consumers."
As part of the ongoing transformation, having now seen the agency through its initial transition, CEO Felipe San Juan has decided the time has come to look for new adventures and will be leaving the Agency at the end of February. He will be working closely with Paco to ensure a smooth transition to this next phase.
