Miami - Conill has won the American Association of Advertising Agencies' 2007 O'Toole Multicultural Award. The honor was presented to Conill EVP, Managing Director Cynthia McFarlane during the 89th annual AAAA management conference, held in Naples Florida on Friday, April 20.
The O'Toole Multicultural Award honors creative excellence for a body of work targeted to a multicultural consumer audience. The awards are judged by a panel of volunteer judges comprised of professionals from AAAA member agencies throughout the United States.
This is the third time that Conill has been honored with this distinction - more than any other agency. "The work that is now being produced for the Latino market is among the best anywhere," said Ms. McFarlane. "There are some very gifted people doing terrific things at a lot of great agencies. For our shop to stand out among such noteworthy company is incredibly rewarding."
Separately, Conill's work for Toyota Camry took top honors as 2006 "Campaign of the Year" in Marketing y Medios' 3rd Annual Hispanic Best Spots competition, which was published in today's Adweek, Brandweek and Mediaweek magazines. The agency's work for Procter & Gamble's Tide brand also received "Honorable Mention" in the same category.
The competition honors the best television commercials of 2006 targeting U.S. Hispanic consumers. Winning work will also be showcased during the 3rd Annual Voz Latina Hispanic Marketing Conference on April 26 at the Hotel InterContinental in Miami.
"We're thrilled for our work to be recognized by our industry peers," said Antonio Lopez, Executive Creative Director. "Having a great team of people makes it all happen."
