MIAMI - Conill, the Saatchi & Saatchi Network's Latino Ideas Company, extended its recent creative tear by winning more awards than any other U.S. agency at the Festival Iberoamericano De La Publicidad (FIAP) held May 4-8 in Buenos Aries. The agency took in a total of seven awards in four separate categories for work representing its three largest clients - Toyota, T-Mobile and Procter & Gamble.
"It's inspiring that U.S. Latino agencies did very well overall at this year's competition," said Conill Chief Creative Officer Pablo Buffagni, who served as a judge at this year's festival. "I am also delighted that we were able to have a terrific showing of our own among so many great shops. We are blessed to have incredibly talented people working across our entire client roster."
The strong showing at FIAP continues a creative hot streak for Conill dating back several years. Most recently, it won "Best of Show" and was the most awarded agency at the 2008 Advertising Age Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards. The agency also earned a silver Media Lion at the 2008 Cannes International Advertising festival.
FIAP is considered by many Latin agencies to be the most important advertising awards competition next to Cannes. Festival judges selected this year's winners from more than 4000 entries submitted by agencies throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, Portugal and the U.S. Hispanic market.
