Mumbai - Saatchi & Saatchi India CEO Matthew Seddon has announced the appointment of Priti Kapur as ECD of the Saatchi & Saatchi Delhi office.
Priti (pictured right) has spent the last 4 years as ECD at JWT Delhi, prior to which she worked at Leo Burnett and DDB in Singapore.
In her time at JWT Priti led the agency to its first ever Cannes and Clio Gold metal wins and was instrumental in the agency being recognized as the Agency of the Year at Adfest 2010. She was subsequently ranked 13th in the Asia Pacific ECD creative rankings carried out by Campaign Asia.
Kapur said, "I am looking forward to embracing the Saatchi & Saatchi culture that has made it so iconic around the world, and to doing the kind of media-neutral ideas that are redefining advertising today."
Seddon continued, "At the same time, I am saddened to have to advise that our CCO Ramanuj Shastry has decided to move on and will be setting up on his own. Ramanuj will be leaving Saatchi & Saatchi India in February.
"I would like to publically acknowledge Ramanuj for all that he has done for us over the years, the great work he has led, his indomitable spirit, wise counsel but perhaps most importantly of all the fun and friendship he has brought to Saatchi & Saatchi."
"Saatchi & Saatchi will always be a Lovemark for me," said Shastry. "I'd like to thank my wonderful team for their support and the equally wonderful clients for their good faith. Going ahead I will still be doing what I love - advertising. The only difference being now I will be working for myself."
Looking forward, Seddon concluded, "Whilst periods of change are never easy, they can also provide massive opportunity. Priti and Ashutosh (ECD Saatchi & Saatchi Mumbai) are close friends and have worked effectively together previously so I am confident that together they can make a real impact. I am looking forward to a successful 2013 and the emergence of Saatchi & Saatchi India as a hotbed of world changing creative ideas!"
