San Juan - Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi has won a Caracol de Plata award at the XI Edition of this festival, sponsored annually by the Mexican organization Caracol de Plata as an Iberoamerican Recognition to the Social Benefit Message. Caracol de Plata is a private initiative dedicated to encourage companies, advertising agencies and the communications media in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries to the sponsorship, creation, production and dissemination of social benefit messages and ideas. Only nine awards were given by Caracol de Plata this year.
The winning entry in the Outdoor & Alternative Media category is "Orifice", a direct marketing piece created by Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi for the annual Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico (United Way) "Zero Bullets" campaign, aimed at discouraging the dangerous practice of firing guns into the air on New Year's Eve.
Erasto Freytes, President of Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, stated: "Over the years, our agency has been firmly committed support social benefit efforts and at present, we are actively involved in the development of social campaigns for Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico and San Jorge Children's Foundation."
To this, Juan Carlos Rodríguez, the agency's Creative Director, added: "Creating ideas for social benefit projects is both a challenging and rewarding experience as we seek ideas and vehicles to carry the message in a compelling, dramatic way that will move people to espouse the worthy causes we promote.
