Riyadh - In an effort to give back to a thirsty world, BMG Foundation is partnering with advertising leader Saatchi & Saatchi to launch ‘Our Water, Our Life' charitable water preservation initiative. The initiative is unique in the way it reaches out to a diverse demographic in the Arab world, raising awareness online about water scarcity in our region through an interactive website and social media tools.
‘Our Water, Our Life' initiative aims to encourage sustainable water consumption among Arab households and to empower Arab youth to raise awareness in their communities as well. The new website was designed with three purposes in mind: raising awareness, empowering and giving back.
The website which can be visited at (www.ourwaterourlife.org) presents shocking numbers and interactive information regarding water scarcity in the Arab world as well as advocating simple ways to save water. The website is also the platform for a university competition where Arab university students in Saudi and other Gulf states can submit innovative ideas for effective water awareness campaigns in their communities and compete for funding. Two spectacular events - more information available on the website - will be held to raise funds for the winning campaign in the competition.

"As our media partner, Saatchi & Saatchi Agency is playing a major role -- especially on the online digital media front -- in helping BMG Foundation raise much needed awareness about vanishing water supplies in the Arab world among the new generation.
Over the past 15 years, we have carried out many charitable programs at BMG Foundation mostly aimed at cultural enhancement. However, since last year, we have also tapped into environmental awareness and sustainability in the region with ‘Our Water, Our Life' initiative which addresses the crucial issue of water preservation," Mr Al Ghalayini added.
