San Juan - Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Puerto Rico's most creative agency, won the largest number of awards for the fourth consecutive year at the 30th edition of the Cúspide Awards, sponsored by the Puerto Rico Advertising Agency Association. Badillo won the only Grand Prix awarded this year and it was in Cyber Media. The agency has been the top winner 7 times during the past decade. In addition to the Grand Prix, Badillo won 16 awards - twice more than the nearest contender, including 2 Gold, 9 Silver and 5 Bronze, plus 12 Finalists. The award ceremony was held May 11 at La Concha Hotel.
The Grand Prix went to Badillo's "A Bullet Follows You" social media campaign for United Way (Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico), which also received Gold and Silver awards. Another Gold award was given to Toyota's "Letter" TV spot. Silver awards were given to United Way's "I Love You, I Hit You" print initiative, to P&G's "Spot Book" Ariel print ad and in radio, to P&G's "33" Olay spot and to Fresh Mart's "Reverse Flow" campaign and to each of its individual component spots "Chili", "Curry" "Jalapeño" and "Pizza". Bronze prizes were given to Scene 51 P.R. Horror's "Death Kid" TV spot, to Toyota Trucks' "Warriors" campaign and each of its component spots "Spartan" and "Viking", and to Toyota Camry's "Elegance" radio campaign.
Agency president Erasto Freytes commented: "I am extremely proud of our creative team. Being the top winner four years in a row is a remarkable achievement, crowned by capturing the only Grand Prix awarded this year. Once again, our agency's ideas have surpassed those of our competitors."
