Saatchi & Saatchi London has poached CHI’s Danny Josephs as its new chief operating officer.
Josephs will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the business, managing the agency’s continuing growth, and will also oversee a number of Saatchi & Saatchi’s key accounts.
A major focus will be on driving collaborative solutions for clients, and in particular, on bringing creative, media and technology together on integrated accounts.
Josephs joins from Pulse Creative, the WPP-backed News UK in-house creative agency, where he was managing director. Before that, he was managing director at WPP Team News and responsible for leading WPP’s ‘horizontal’ team of agencies Grey, Wunderman, Mindshare and The Box.
Josephs originally joined CHI & Partners as its first ‘suit’ in 2002 as an equity partner before becoming new business director and head of account management, working with clients including Argos, Carphone Warehouse, RBS, Toyota and Heineken. Before CHI, Josephs worked at Ogilvy, Simons Palmer Clemmow Johnson and Bates Dorland.
Josephs will report to Magnus Djaba, the UK CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Fallon and joins the senior executive team at the agency. He replaces Katrien De Bauw.
Magnus Djaba said: “I’ve known Danny a while and he has always been about the work and the people. He has always looked to create the world as it should be rather than accepting how it is. His brief is to help us sprint to the future”.
Josephs added: "I'm incredibly excited to work with some familiar faces again and some brand new ones too. I think the opportunities and possibilities at Saatchi’s are immense and I can't wait to get started.”
