Helsinki - Lahtinen & Mantere Saatchi & Saatchi has taken Jopo bicycles on its first step towards a European launch through a tie-in with a new music video from Finnish band Le Corps Mince de Francoise.
In the video for their new single ‘Something Golden’, the band members are seen riding through the night-time city on their Jopo bikes.
Le Corps Mince de Francoise, an all girl trio comprising sisters Emma and Mia Kemppianen and their friend Malin Nyqvist, has just been elected as the most promising Finnish band by the Finnish broadcasting company YLE, and has huge support in France as well as growing recognition in Japan, UK and USA. They are very hot among hipsters, and their fanbase and awareness has been built through social media such as MySpace and Facebook.
Jopo, manufactured by Finnish company Helkama, is Finland’s most popular bike, and the idea to link it with one of Finland’s hottest up and coming musical acts came from Art Director Joona Mantere.
He also supervised the filming of the video in Los Angeles, which was directed by Matt Amato for The Masses, the LA-based production company behind the Heath Ledger-directed ‘King Rat’ video for Modest Mouse, amongst many others. Mixing was done by Dave "Switch" Tylor.
