Saatchi Belgrade has won Grand Prix and Crystal awards at the Ad Stars festival
held in Busan, South Korea's second largest city, with the “One Photo a Day in
the Worst Year of My Life” viral campaign against domestic violence.
The video was awarded Grand Prix in Public Service Advertising category and also won the Crystal award in the Public Relations category. The jury was comprised of 155 prominent advertising professionals from 46 countries.
"One Photo a Day in the Worst Year of My Life" gives a realistic portrayal of how relationship violence can transform its victims' lives. It launched in March and quickly spread via social networks, getting extensive media coverage. The video has had 5.5 million views on YouTube and caused tremendous buzz, both locally and globally.
The Ad Stars festival was established in 2008 with the objective to promote marketing communications characterized by openness and humaneness and has seen a steep rise in the number of entries ever since, with approximately 12,000 entries from 59 countries in 2013, making it the biggest advertising festival in Asia.
