Fan Ng appointed as Chief Creative Officer North China

Saatchi & Saatchi announced the appointment of Fan Ng as Chief Creative Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi North China with immediate effect.

In this new role, Fan will lead Saatchi & Saatchi’s creative teams in North China, including Shanghai and Beijing, to serve a number of international and local brands such as Sands China, Coca-Cola, Lexus, Mazda, General Mills, Mondelez International and Walmart, just to name a few. Fan was previously Chief Creative Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi Shanghai, and will continue to be based in Shanghai, reporting directly to Michael Lee, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Greater China.

Michael Lee said, “I have known Fan for more than two decades. He is an exceptional creative leader with an admirable passion in pursuing innovation and creativity. Since 2011, Saatchi & Saatchi Shanghai has tripled in size, won many creative and industry awards, and that the agency has been recognised as one of the top agencies in China is a testament of Fan’s leadership and efforts. I am absolutely confident that Saatchi & Saatchi North China will continue its creative excellence under Fan’s leadership.”

Fan Ng said, “I am very excited to take on this new challenge. We have great clients, outstanding creative talent in our North China offices, and I am looking forward to creating exceptional work with them. We will be creating more synergies between our Shanghai and Beijing offices which will lead to greater opportunities for creative partnership. We will also adapt new technologies and thinking in developing innovative ideas, which we believe will be rewarding for both clients and agency.”

Having been in the advertising industry since 1994, Fan has more than 21 years of advertising creative and management experience. He started his career in Hong Kong and spent 12 years at Ogilvy Hong Kong and Shanghai before joining Saatchi & Saatchi Guangzhou in 2008 to manage a team of over a hundred creative professionals. Fan’s digital, interactive and integrated campaigns at Saatchi & Saatchi for Ariel, Olay, Head & Shoulders, Crest and Safeguard have consolidated the top-selling status of these brands across Greater China.

In 2011, Fan led the creative for all accounts at Saatchi & Saatchi Shanghai, which in 2013, won Silver at the Campaign China Creative Agency of the Year Awards. Fan has been recognised as one of the top Ideas Men in Hong Kong for two consecutive years, and his work has received many local and international awards including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Spikes Asia, One Show, CLIO, London International Advertising Awards, China Advertising Great Wall Awards and LongXi Creative Awards. Fan has been also a frequent jury for many of these awards.
