Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi Trinidad ADDY Success

PORT OF SPAIN - Hot on the heels of their phenomenal success at the AAATT Creative Excellence Awards, Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi Trinidad has taken 4 of the 5 prestigious 'Best' awards at the recent Caribbean Advertising Federation (CAF) chapter's 2009 ADDY Awards.

The agency won the coveted overall 2009 Best of Show Award with their "it matters" campaign for Western Union. They also took the Best of Radio Award with a jingle for Churches Chicken, the Best of Print Award for Western Union "Support", and the Best of Television Award with "Blink Olympics", for Blink Broadband.

In all, Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi took home 9 Gold and 16 Silver ADDY Awards, in addition to the Best of Show honours, making it the most successful agency at the CAF stage of the ADDY Awards.

Commenting on the success, Creative Director Jon Slater said, "A global campaign with a single minded message that all cultures can identify with - it was no surprise when the "it matters" campaign for Western Union picked up a pile of awards at the ADDYS. We bested 5 agencies to win the account in 2007 and big wins at the CAF ADDYS and AAATT Advertising Awards only add icing to the proverbial cake.

"Combined with the rest of the creative work we have produced over the last year we have had the strongest showing in the agency's history. I extend credit to Christopher and Leizelle Guinness, the lead creative team who worked on the campaign, as well as the rest of the creative department who have truly grown into a great team."

Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi's CEO, Kenrick Attale, added his praise for his staff and in particular, the creative team at the agency. "We have a team of ultra-dedicated employees who are always willing to rise to any challenge and do whatever it takes to get the job done. But we couldn't do it without the strong partnerships we've forged with our clients. It's their faith in us and our creative ability which enables us to express this creativity and transform it into award winning advertising that not only wins awards, but also produces results."
