San Juan - Badillo Saatchi & Saatchi won a Grand Prix and 26 medals (4 Gold, 10 Silver and 12 Bronze) at the 32nd edition of the Cúspide Awards, sponsored by the Puerto Rico Advertising Agency Association.  The award ceremony was held May 2 at the Government Reception Center in Old San Juan.

“After Death”, a short film produced by Badillo Saatchi & Saatchi to promote the Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest received a Grand Prix and two Gold awards in Film, plus one Silver in Media.  The radio component of this effort was awarded one Gold (“Dawn”), two Silver (“Dawn”, “Tow Truck”) and one Bronze (“Dawn”); the print ad, “Director’s Hand”, won a Bronze, and the “After Death” case got a Bronze in PR and in Promo & Activation, making that a total of 11 medals for “After Death”.

An ingenious hourglass designed for San José Church’s restoration fundraising efforts under the theme “Turn Time Around” was awarded a Silver in Design and a Bronze in Direct.

Ofi Arte’s “Brushes” print campaign “Decapitation” ad won a Silver award and “Dinner” a Bronze.  Wendy’s “Man” radio spot for its Spicy Chicken Strips product received a Bronze Cúspide.

Agency President Erasto Freytes commented:  “I am elated at our agency’s performance so far this year - first at FIAP, where we were the top winner from Puerto Rico for the second consecutive year, and now at Cúspide – all during the same week.  Once more, our agency’s ideas have shone above those of our competitors.” To which the agency’s executive creative director, Juan Carlos Rodríguez added:  “It is important that we have consistently demonstrated our leadership as a creative agency in our market.  This is the third year in a row where we receive Grand Prix at Cúspide and for eight of the past twelve years we have been the top winner at this festival. This is no small feat and it is the result of the relentless dedication and passion of our team in the pursuit of outstanding ideas."
