Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide Appoints Fabio Scappaticci as Reinvention Project Director

13 OCT 2011

London - Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide has appointed former Aerospace engineer and Cambridge Judge Business School graduate Fabio Scappaticci, as a Reinvention Project Director. He joins Saatchi & Saatchi's global Reinvention team headquartered in the Agency's worldwide office in London, led by Richard Hytner, Deputy Chairman, Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide.

Scappaticci began his career as an airworthiness engineer for Bombardier Aerospace where he managed air safety projects for the company's business aircraft division. While at Bombardier he became active with the not-for-profit organisation Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Canada. In 2008 he began a year and a half assignment with OXFAM Quebec in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) where he developed and managed three water and sanitation projects that improved the livelihood of over 80,000 people in rural villages of Eastern DRC. More recently he worked for Société De Développement Angus, an organisation specialised in developing ecological and social real estate projects.

Scappaticci graduated in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal and recently completed his MBA at the Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

He joins fellow Cambridge Judge Business School graduate, Jane Kendall, Director of Reinvention who began at Saatchi & Saatchi in 2007. Kendall designs and implements the training and development programmes for Saatchi & Saatchi's people and clients to accelerate Saatchi & Saatchi's Purpose and she supports Global Xploring practice that focuses on uncovering new human-centred insights through experiential ethnography.

Before joining Saatchi & Saatchi, Kendall worked in Public Health with a focus on global disaster recovery. She holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

Hytner and his team are charged with helping to equip Saatchi & Saatchi's people and clients with the inspiration, intellectual property and practices to transform their businesses, brands and reputations. They use learning and development experiences to unlock their people and clients' creativity and test new models and partnerships to inspire a broad range of clients to deliver Lovemarks from the inside out.

Hytner said: "One of Saatchi & Saatchi's core beliefs is in the unreasonable power of creativity. Both Fabio and Jane have that rare combination of business rigour and wild imagination that helps our clients transform their businesses to create and capture more value."

Fellow Cambridge Judge Business School alumni within Saatchi & Saatchi include Andrzej Moyseowicz, Media Innovation Director for Saatchi & Saatchi EMEA, Jasper Nelissen VP General Manager at Conill Miami, and Tim Letheren, Saatchi & Saatchi Business Leader for Toyota Europe, based in London. For six years Saatchi & Saatchi has run a creative programme for MBAs at the Judge Business School, where, until recently, Worldwide CEO Kevin Roberts was the inaugural CEO in Residence.

Saatchi & Saatchi also has a close relationship with the London Business School where Richard Hytner is Adjunct Associate Professor of Marketing. He teaches on the MBA core course, on three Executive Education programmes, and now also runs an elective on Communications. Together with Team Saatchi, Richard has been working with the Dean and his leadership team on creating and embedding London Business School's new vision and values.
