Sydney - Saatchi & Saatchi Australia has been named the Australian Advertising Agency of the Decade by leading trade magazine Campaign Brief – and with a year to spare!
Although the ‘noughties’ won’t be over until the end of 2010, Saatchi & Saatchi’s Sydney office has already accrued enough of a lead over 2nd placed Clemenger BBDO Melbourne to ensure that whatever happens next year they will retain the top spot.
Since 2000, Saatchi & Saatchi was placed in the top 5 of Campaign Brief's annual Hot + Cold Chart every year except 2007, including an impressive run of three consecutive Agency of the Year titles from 2003 to 2005.
Campaign Brief worked out the top agencies of the noughties by allocating 5 points for Agency of the Year down to 1 point for the 5th place for each year of the decade. The top 5 for 2009 will be published in their January/February 2010 issue.
