Comstat Reaffirms Its Leadership at Excel Awards 2010

San Juan - The display of Excel Awards obtained by the Comstat team during the recent awards ceremony of the Association of Public Relations Professionals of Puerto Rico reaffirms its excellence and leadership acknowledged by the Industry.

Comstat, the Public Relations arm of Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, obtained awards in four regular categories and one special category, including the prize for Crisis Management for its profound strategic knowledge, which created positive public awareness during the recalls experienced by Toyota.

According to Ana María Echenique, President of Comstat, "all these awards are the result of a team effort, of a group of committed people who work every day to create understanding and close communication gaps to improve the quality of living in our community. We feel honored by these recognitions from our peers with awards in such important categories."

The Crisis Management program was handled by Echenique with the support of Senior Account Executive Viviana Santana and the writing of Editorial Director Lillian Rivas and Editor Finees Almenas.

The Excel Award for Creative Tactics in Marketing Support was awarded to Senior Vice-President Mily Hernández for the exhibition "I love my Toyota" with the support of Executives Viviana Santana and Zahíra Douez, and editorials by Almenas.  This effort also received the prestigious Paco Oller Special Award, given annually to the most Creative Program. Hernández also received the award for the Most Outstanding Print and Electronic Media Relations Program for the opening of CVS/pharmacy in Puerto Rico.  Hernández worked this program with Account Executive Zahira Douez and editorial work of Finees Almenas.

Comstat also received the Public Affairs Excel Award for the Plan for the Economic Development of Puerto Rico which they designed for their client, the Private Sector Coalition. This program was coordinated by Echenique with the support of Account Executive Aileen Morales and the strategic editorial work of Rivas.

"In more that 25 years as leaders in the public relations field, at Comstat we continue committed to serve the best interests of our country, and these prizes are a testimony to that," Echenique said.
