Saatchi & Saatchi London Hires Todd Grinham and Brittany Poole

London - Saatchi & Saatchi has hired creative duo Todd Grinham (art director) and Brittany Poole (copywriter), further bolstering the agency's top quality creative offering.

Grinham and Poole join Saatchi & Saatchi from Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Boulder, Colorado and will report into Kate Stanners and Paul Silburn, Executive Creative Partners, working across a range of the London agency's clients. They bring a shared wealth of highly regarded and award-winning integrated experience to the agency, having created campaigns including "Whopper Lust" for Burger King and the multi-award winning "Baby Carrots" for Bolthouse Farms.

The pair most recently developed the Lunch Decoy for Applebee's, inflatable dolls that help people get out of the office and into Applebee's for a better lunch. The tongue-in-cheek campaign launched with an infomercial, but ended up selling the dolls on Amazon.

In 2012, Poole won a Gold Pencil, an Interactive Merit and an Entertainment award at the One Show for her Burger King "Whopper Lust" campaign. Whopper Lust was an interactive channel on Direct TV that aimed to see just how far someone would go for a free Whopper. Players had to watch a spinning burger for up to thirty minutes to win one for themselves. The campaign saw 38,830 people spend 10,000 hours in just under a week staring at the burger on their television screens. In 2011 she won a Bronze Young Gun for her JELL-O Pudding Face Mood Meter and an FWA Mobile App of the Day for her Jiggle-it campaign.

Grinham's "Baby Carrots" work for Bolthouse Farms won a Gold, Silver and Bronze Effie, a Silver Clio, a One Show Silver, Mobile of the Day at FWA and an Award of Excellence at the Communication Arts awards. The campaign rebranded Baby Carrots as junk food, and created new junk food packaging, vending machines, a baby carrot-sized website and a mobile game, Xtreme Xrunch Kart, the first game powered by the crunch of a carrot.

Poole and Grinham added: "It's been a dream of ours to work across the pond and get back to honing our craft in a way only the Brits can. Saatchis has a long history of doing great things for huge brands, and Paul and Kate are pushing the work in the same direction we'd like to be headed. We look forward to the opportunity to be a part of it. Also, we both have raincoats that don't get much use."

Prior to joining Crispin Porter Bogusky, Grinham was at AKQA in San Francisco. He began his career at Goodby Silverstein & Partners in 2007. Poole began her career at Crispin Porter Bogusky.

Silburn said: "Brittany and Todd have all the credentials to make a huge impact here. They've got a great pedigree and they're joining us at the perfect time to capitalise on the ever-increasing number of opportunities at Saatchi & Saatchi."

Saatchi & Saatchi has also bolstered its account handling department with the appointment of  Sarah Byrne as Head of Account Management and Catherine Kennedy as Business Leader on T-Mobile UK and Weight Watchers.

Byrne joins from Mother where she worked with Coca-Cola, Amnesty International and New Look to deliver a series of branded content properties including The Secret Policeman's Ball, New Look Style the Nation and Coca-Cola's Move to the Beat campaign for London 2012. Prior to this, she worked at CHI, Grey London, Hurrell & Dawson and McCann Erickson, delivering award-winning work for brands including Coca-Cola, Powerade, Lucozade, Honda, Tango, Amnesty International, The British Heart Foundation, British Gas and BT.

Kennedy was previously Business Director at Karmarama, where she ran Costa, Age UK, Global Radio and eHarmony. Prior to this, she worked at RKCR/Y&R, Saint and CDD.
