New York, NY - Saatchi & Saatchi New York CEO Durk Barnhill takes part today in a prominent "fireside chat" at the 2013 Mobile Media Upfront. The session, titled Music to My Ears, is moderated by Pandora's Chief Revenue Officer John Trimble.
During the session, Barnhill and Trimble will cover a wide range of topics and issues surrounding both agencies and media partners in the mobile space. The conversation will focus on the need for effective mobile marketing to center on building emotional connections with consumers. Barnhill will stress that as "The Lovemarks Company," Saatchi & Saatchi sees huge opportunity in mobile because of the emotional connection users have with their phones.
"Your cell phone is one of the most intimate devices we've ever seen," says Barnhill. "It wakes us up in the morning and it is the last thing we look at before we go to sleep. It can be an amazing tool for creating connections with your audience . . . but you need to make sure the content is great. Without great, emotional content a mobile campaign is never going to live up to its potential."
