New York - Saatchi &
Saatchi New York announces that Wanda Pogue has been named Chief Strategy
Officer. She was most recently a Global Planning Director with Saatchi
& Saatchi New York, leading communication strategies for P&G’s largest
global brands such as Olay, Tide & Ariel. In her new role, she
will report to Saatchi & Saatchi New York CEO Brent Smart and partner with
Chief Creative Officer Jay Benjamin. Wanda becomes a member of the
Agency’s Leadership Team.
Smart
comments: “Wanda is a special talent. She has a very human approach to
planning and she makes the complicated simple. But mostly she makes the work
better. There is a great chemistry between Jay, Wanda and me. I’m excited about
this partnership to lead the agency forward.”
“I am
thrilled to be contributing to the leadership of a company I have loved for
many years,” says Wanda. “There has never been a more exciting time to be in
this role. As strategist, we now have to look at business situations from every
angle and understand the brand experience from every angle to create ideas that
people can truly connect with. And that’s exciting. I look to understand what
inspires people because this is the essence of great communication.”
Wanda Pogue replaces Claudine Cheever who is leaving the Agency at the
end of July for a new, undisclosed opportunity within Publicis Groupe.
Cheever joined Saatchi & Saatchi NY in 2009 and most recently held the role
of Chief Strategic Officer.
Smart notes:
“We
thank Claudine for her huge contribution over the past five years to agency
culture, to client work, and as a public face of Saatchi & Saatchi. We wish
her every ongoing success.”
