Mumbai - Saatchi & Saatchi India has had a successful month on the new business front, picking up three new accounts - two via existing business connections.
Novartis, a Saatchi & Saatchi Network client, awarded them the Calcium Sandoz chewable calcium tablet brand without a pitch. Grey Advertising previously handled.
The agency also picked up the strategic and creative duties for three of SET's (Sony Entertainment Television) channels - AXN (action and adventure programming), Animax (24-hour anime channel) and Sony PIX (Hollywood movie channel). This came after a multi-agency pitch against Equs, Rediffusion DY&R and Fortune.
The travel website Ezeego1.com, was won after a two way shoot-out against Publicis, the client citing the strength of the strategic and creative work as the reasons for choosing Saatchi & Saatchi India. FCB and the incumbent Law & Kenneth also pitched. This is an offshoot of Cox & Kings, one of the largest presences in India's travel sector, and an existing client of the agency. The winning campaign is expected to break in August.
Kamal Basu, Executive Vice President of Saatchi & Saatchi's Mumbai office, said, "We are very happy to add these exciting brands to our client portfolio. Calcium Sandoz is an established brand which we are committed to taking to the next level, while the task with SET is a challenging one - to help these channels gain huge market share. Ezeego1.com is very competitive in the travel space, and our desire is to partner this site to make it number one in the market."
