Sao Paulo - For the 5th consecutive year - and for the 7th time in 9 years - F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi in Brazil has been named 'Agency of the Year' at the Rio de Janeiro International Advertising Festival, organized by ABP (the Advertising Association of Brazil).
F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi was the Festival's most awarded agency, winning an astonishing 72 awards in all - including the Grand Prix in the TV/Cinema category for "Giant", created for Claro mobile service provider. The film was created by Eduardo Lima, Ricardo Jones and Airton Carmignani with creative direction by Fabio Fernandes and Eduardo Lima. The production company responsible was Hungry Man and direction was by 300ML.
Also in TV/Cinema, F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi won 6 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze awards. For Print media the agency was awarded an amazing 5 gold, 15 silver and 20 bronzes - covering both individual executions and campaigns - while in the Out of Home category they picked up 3 silver and 2 bronze awards. And last, but by no means least, they gathered 2 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze awards in the radio section.
Apart from Claro, the other big winners were were campaigns for major clients Unimed-Rio, AmBev's Skol beer, charity Fundaç㯠SOS Mata Atlântica and toy manufacturer Plastik.
