Ramat Gan - BBR Saatchi & Saatchi are honoured to have received a special mention for their Kosovo nation branding campaign, when Former Prime Minister Tony Blair visited the country last week.
During a speech to the National Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Tony Blair said:
"I love your recent publicity slogan - Kosovo: the Young Europeans. You are the newest country in Europe with also Europe’s youngest population."
Mr Blair is seen by Kosovars as having played a critical role in the Balkan War of the late 1990's and in supporting their journey to independence, declared in February 2008.
David Kosmin, who heads the Kosovo account, commented:
"The Young Europeans campaign projects a fresh way to brand a nation through the dreams of its young people. ‘Young’ is a demographic fact, but it's also a feeling that's about seeing the future in a positive light. Tony Blair was influential in shaping Kosovo's past, and it's great to now see him embracing a campaign that's about the country's future."
