San Juan - Once again Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi was the most awarded agency from Puerto Rico at the annual Advertising Age Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards, winning 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. This is the third time the agency has been Puerto Rico's top award winner at this festival.
The awards ceremony took place November 2 at the Manhattan Center in New York, attended by top advertising professionals from the United States and the advertising community which works for the growing Hispanic market in the United States.
Badillo's winners were Verizon Wireless' "Uninterrupted Calls" campaign with a Gold in the Outdoor category, Toyota Yaris' "Door Handles" with a Silver in Non-traditional and Toyota PJ Cruiser's "Maze", which took Bronze in Magazines.
Erasto Freytes, president of Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi commented: "We are very pleased at being the top winner from Puerto Rico for a third time at Ad Age's Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards. Many agencies are doing a great job in the very competitive US Hispanic Market, so this recognition is most encouraging."
Regarding the awards, Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Badillo Nazca's general creative director added: "The Hispanic market is much more interesting and challenging today than it was years ago. Every day more brands are respecting the Latin public's intelligence and they are producing better ideas. Not only because of what is being shown at this competition but evidenced through the performance of Hispanic agencies at the Cannes festival. This time around Puerto Rico submitted fewer entries than in previous years and there were fewer awards in general. At Badillo we strive on a daily basis to generate even better ideas. Creative festivals are irreplaceable exercises to help us achieve improvement and do a better job for our brands."
