New structure for Saatchi & Saatchi Latam

Global advertising and communications company Saatchi & Saatchi has announced a new structure for its 15 country, 1,250 person Latin American operations.

Cynthia McFarlane, Saatchi & Saatchi CEO and Chairman for Latin America and US Multicultural, has announced that she will leave her position with the company on October 1st to pursue personal and entrepreneurial ventures.

A 22-year Miami-based Saatchi & Saatchi veteran, Cynthia McFarlane has an impressive list of accomplishments. Agencies under her remit have been named to the Advertising Age and Creativity A-Lists nine times, including Multicultural Agency of the Year honors for Conill in 2007 and 2011, and International Agency of the Year for Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi Argentina in 2011.

Saatchi & Saatchi’s multicultural agency, Conill, an Ad Age A-List agency for five years running, will be led by its long-time President, Carlos Martinez. He will report directly to CEO Worldwide Robert Senior.

Javier Campopiano continues in his role as Chief Creative Officer.

Saatchi & Saatchi’s Latin American agencies and affiliates will be led by Justin Billingsley, CEO of the Worldwide Dynamic Markets Group.  This grouping has been created to drive greater synergy with other dynamic markets globally who face similar business challenges in today’s global market place. F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi Brazil, led by Fabio Fernandes, reports directly to Robert Senior.

“Latin America is significant for Saatchi & Saatchi for its creative influence on our network,” said Robert Senior, CEO Worldwide of Saatchi & Saatchi. “The new leadership will continue to evolve the standards of excellence and strategic insight that have made Saatchi & Saatchi agencies creative leaders in the region.”

Saatchi & Saatchi Executive Chairman Kevin Roberts said that “Cynthia McFarlane has been family for over two decades. She has been a leader, a believer, an achiever. We thank her sincerely and wish her every future success.”

Cynthia McFarlane joined Saatchi & Saatchi in 1993 as Account Director in Puerto Rico office. She progressed within the organization throughout her career, ultimately being named to Saatchi & Saatchi’s Global Leadership Team in 2013.

“I have had a wonderful career at Saatchi & Saatchi and at Conill, but feel the time is right for new challenges,” said Cynthia McFarlane. “It has been a privilege to work with some of the brightest stars in the business. I am immensely proud of our contributions to the network from a business perspective, as well as in raising the creative bar. I look forward to Saatchi & Saatchi and Conill’s continued success, as I embark on exciting new endeavors for myself and my husband Lawrence.
