LONDON - Carlsberg UK has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi as the lead creative agency for San Miguel in the UK, having licensed the UK's leading world beer brand at the end of last year from Mahou San Miguel in Spain.
Saatchi & Saatchi will be responsible for developing San Miguel's marketing communications strategy going forward. The innovative campaign created by Saatchi & Saatchi will take the brand in an exciting, bold new direction, strengthening the brand's premium positioning in the UK market. With a planned media investment of ?5 million, the work will cover TV, cinema and print and will be launched in May this year.
This new win for Saatchi & Saatchi builds on the long-standing relationship between the agency and Carlsberg UK, developed out of the successful Carlsberg "Probably" campaign that has been running for some nine years.
