The campaign conceptualized by Associate Creative Director Ramy Bader and Copywriter Omar Tanany, focuses on the products’ deep-rooted history by bringing to life several fictional characters enjoying the candy throughout different stages of their life in a series of 5 individual spots.
Ahmed Nabil, Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Egypt said of the campaign: "The artsy, fast-paced Gersy ads have unearthed an entrenched nostalgia for the brand, and proved very popular in Egypt. The theory is that no matter how much we have evolved and changed in our life, our love for Gersy, and the way we eat Gersy and Jelly Cola will never fade.”
Through building on brand nostalgia in a relatable yet light-hearted way, the campaign has created a buzz through digital and TV. The TVCs are supported through Gersy and Jelly Cola’s YouTube and social media channels with the tag #eatitlikethis.
