Mio Chongson Joins Ace Saatchi & Saatchi as COO

Manila - Arthur Young Jr., Chairman at Ace Saatchi & Saatchi, has announced the appointment of Mio Chongson as the new COO at the agency. She will take over from Matt Seddon, who will leave the Philippines to take on the position of CEO India of Saatchi & Saatchi.

Chongson is currently the CEO of Blue Bottle, a reputable independent local agency, which she has owned since 2005. Prior to joining Blue Bottle, she was the Client Service Director at BBDO Guerrero for four years, and before that, held a similar role at Jimenez D'Arcy for 11 years.

Mio has built up a reputation as a dynamic leader and a passionate supporter of breakthrough creative work. She is currently the Chairperson of the Philippine 4A's, a strong voice at the Advertising Board of the Philippines, and a consistent Panelist of the Advertising Standards Council.

Young said, "Since Matt arrived in 2008 we have seen a lot of positive change at Ace Saatchi & Saatchi. Our business performance has improved dramatically and earlier this year, we were acknowledged as the Philippines' Agency of the Year by Campaign Brief Asia. I am confident that Mio will build on the strong foundations laid down by Matt and the team, and that the agency will get even stronger under her leadership."

Chongson will lead Ace Saatchi & Saatchi's team of 110 and will work with clients including Mead Johnson, P&G, Toyota, Lexus, PLDT, Roche, SM, Petron, Kraft and Diageo.

Chongson said, "I am truly excited to be given the opportunity to lead the Ace Saatchi team. To further inspire an already charged-up, creative powerhouse-that will be a fun challenge."
